SharePoint Portal for maintaining SOP in your organization

Today i would like to discuss about
- SOP
- **** SOP Portal
SOP:
Standard operating procedures (SOPs) are written instructions on how to perform an activity or task.
For ex: When creating a drug, what is the process of mixing different components and best practices etc.
These kind of SOPs will ensure consistency and quality in their products.
And when shared among teams will help in creating a systematic way of working, which is necessary part of standardization.

To create and maintain these SOP's there are many tools available. SharePoint is one among them.
****SOP Portal:
I think **** created a SharePoint portal for maintaining these documents. And i think it may have below components.
- Document Libraries - To store documents
Permissions has to be given to these Libraries and Documents.
- Workflows - Linked to above Document Library
When a document was created by a user it should get approval from his manager or Lead. We can achieve this by creating workflows.
- Metadata - data about data ( ex: a document name is Ideas.docx. When it is created, who created, who modified, and when are metadata)
Metadata will helps in searching for the information or documents.
